At the intersection of passion and sacrifice lies the inspiring story of Concept Math, a journey propelled by the vision of founder, Ms. Janice Chuah.
During her ten years at the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ms. Janice earned prestigious awards like the MOE Outstanding Contribution Award and The School Caring Teacher Award. However, she made a brave choice to leave her promising career to focus on caring for her young children. She started home tutoring as it gave her the flexibility to care for her children while doing what she loves.
In 2011, within one year, her student base grew tenfold, proving the effectiveness of her curriculum and teaching methods. Ms Janice decided to embark on a new adventure – to create an exciting place where learning Math wasn’t just about numbers, but about discovery and enjoyment.

Teamwork makes the dream work !
At Concept Math, Ms. Janice heads a team of teachers, each bringing vast experience from teaching in Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) schools. Together, they enhance the curriculum by aligning it with the MOE’s model methods for mathematics. The program skillfully balances fundamental concepts with challenging higher-order thinking questions, empowering students to master the basics while striving for their fullest potential.
The team did not just stop there! They created a unique problem-solving framework called S.M.A.R.T, which has proven to be very effective.
Students achieve good results, parents are happy, and positive word-of-mouth has led to increased enrolment.

In 2017, Concept Math opened a second center in Bukit Timah.
Concept Math’s consistent leadership in curriculum development and adaptation to current trends have garnered media attention, resulting in extensive coverage by both overseas and local media outlets, including Channel News Asia, CNBC, and news channels in Australia, Europe, and France.
In 2024, Concept Math reached a major milestone by teaming up with Indigo Education Group.
With this partnership, Concept Math can now offer a full range of tuition services from primary to secondary levels, guaranteeing our students receive excellent education from start to finish.
